Hand Stripped
.Partially stripped coat. Notice the color and texture differences between the undercoat and the dead top coat.  This is how you know what to pull and what not to.  I hope this helps a bit.
Notice how the hair looks short and soft... This is the under coat.  The hair in the hand is the top coat and is what is to be pulled off!
Notice the range of color from dark red to a blonde to a medium red.  This is a coat ready to be pulled or stripped.  The dark red is the top coat, the blonde is the dying roots and teh medium red is the undercoat.  When stripped you will only have the medium red soft undercoat left.  You will also notice that the hair seems to part itself into clumps this is another good sign it is time to pull it all off!
